OGLESBY — The Chaparrals competed with a full nine-person team Wednesday in their 6-3 loss to Illinois Valley College in men's tennis.
 
"We competed well on a pretty tough day weather-wise for tennis,'' Chaparrals coach Jim Bowers said. "Every match had a tiebreaker; things go our way and it's a different outcome.''
 
The Chaparrals play host to Iowa Central on Friday. First serve is 5 p.m .
