GLEN ELLYN — The Chaparrals challenged themselves against Iowa Central on Friday, losing 9-0 in nonconference tennis.
 
"We've upgraded our schedule and playing more difficult opponents,'' Chaparrals coach Jim Bowers said. "Nathan Hurst served out the second set at 6-5. He didn't succeed, but certainly a learning opportunity that he can use as the season progresses.''
 
The Chaps are at Prairie State on Monday.
