CHICAGO HEIGHTS — Mitch Russell clawed back in his No. 3 singles match and earned a 6-3, 3-6, 10-7 victory for the Chaparrals in their 8-1 loss to Prairie State on Monday afternoon.

Jim Bowers said. "He really dug in there for the victory. It says a lot about staying in the moment and finding a way to win. As a unit, everyone is continuing to work at getting better and finding ways to improve.
The Chaparrals take on visiting Oakton at 3 p.m. today.
