Box Score JOLIET (Aug. 28, 2019) — The Chaparrals controlled host Joliet Junior College with goals in each half in their 2-0 N4C victory over the Wolves in their season opener Wednesday afternoon.
 
Sophomore Lida Hanson scored an unassisted goal in the first half, and teammate McKayla Garcia added one in the second for the Chaps.
 
Brianna Floyd and Mia Clavelli were credited with assists.
 
Goalkeeper Lauren Diddia earned the shutout.
 
"We're really excited to get our first win,'' head coach Zac Ludwig said. "The players did really well to to stay positive and persevere to overcome many obstacles and adverse moments throughout the match.''
 
The Chaps are off until Tuesday when they play at Harper College.
