Box Score Elgin scored three goals in the first 15 minutes of the game and went on to defeat the host Chaparrals 7-1 in Region 4 women's soccer Wednesday afternoon at Bjarne Ullsvik Stadium.
 
Kaley Kowal scored the first two Elgin goals, and added another in the 29^th minute.
 
The Chaps (3-4 overall) avoided the shutout on McKayla Garcia's one-timer in the 66^th minute.
 
Next up for the Chaps is Friday at Illinois Valley. They return home Oct. 2 against Rock Valley.
