RESULTS
The Chaparrals finished second  in Saturday's NJCAA Region IV Division 3 race held at Kishwaukee College.
 
Freshman Lillian Buzani finished second in 19 minutes, 47 seconds on the 5,000-meter campus course. Belle Adduci was fourth in 19:59. Both were named all region by finishing inside the top five.
 
Freshman Morgan Clifford was sixth in 20:25.
 
Joliet won the meet with 24 points, 14 more than the Chaps. Harper was third.
 
"A good overall day from our team,'' head coach Robert Cervenka said. "Lillian and Belle each broke 20 minutes and are deserving of all-region honors, while Morgan was just short.''
 
The Chaps are off until the national championship on Nov. 13 in Milledgeville, Ga.
