The College of DuPage women's cross country team competed in the NJCAA Region IV Championship on Oct. 25 at the Northwestern Medicine Cross Country Course in Geneva. The Chaps finished second in Division III. 
Jessica Balmer earned the individual victory, winning the women's 5K with a time of 20:31.1. Her performance earned her the title of NJCAA Region IV Division III Runner of the Year. 
Maureen Bluemle placed fourth in 21:40.0 to earn All-Region honors for DuPage. 
Ali Pasdiora (22:21.4) and 
Samantha Blankenship (22:40.9) rounded out the top 10 for the Chaps. 
Head Coach 
Mallory Dominguez, was excited for the women's efforts, stating, "Jess was the DIII Region champ and bested the previous course record by almost 15 seconds in the 5K. 
Maureen Bluemle also secured All-Region honors, placing fourth in DIII. The women's team was second in DIII and third overall out of the combined DII and DIII field.
