College of DuPage women's cross country took the short trip to Warrenville, I.L. to compete in the Dodd's Invite hosted by Wheaton College on Saturday, Sept. 20.
DuPage's runners placed 16th out of 18 on Saturday, with all five competitors posting either season bests or personal records.
Jessica Balmer led the Chaps, placing 104th our of 223 runners with a time of 25:50, an improvement of more than a minute and a half from last week.
Maureen Bluemle (26:16) added a personal record of over a minute, while
Sam Blankenship (28:34) notched her third straight PR.
Alison Pasdiora (29:33) and
Bri Pelligrini (31:09) rounded out the lineup, both hitting season-best marks.
"All five women had a season best or PR," head coach
Mallory Dominguez said. "I'm proud of their hard work which is evident by their results. Very proud of this tiny group and excited to see what they will continue to accomplish."
The Chaps will have a couple weeks off to train before heading to Cedar Rapids, I.A. for the Seminole Valley Stampede in Oct. 4.
