The Chaps showed Saturday that offensive production matters as they swept a doubleheader, defeating Joliet Junior College 11-8 and 21-8 over Prairie State in Region 4 softball.

The 2-0 Chaps are at Prairie State on Wednesday, at College of Lake County on Friday and make their home debut Saturday against Gogebic (Mich.) College on Saturday at Sark Park.

Chaps 11, Joliet 8
The offensive output was heavy with
Kelsey Warren going 5-for-5,
Ashley Eiermann adding a home run and
Amber Dasenbrock adding three RBI. The Chaps, who trailed 8-5, scored two runs in each of the final three innings for the victory. On the mound, Dasenbrock threw six innings with five strikeouts.

Chaps 21, Prairie State 8
The long ball was kind to coach
Ryan Connell's team with four home runs, one each from
Nicole Brace, Eiermann, Vincenzo and Dasenbrock.
Both Dasenbrockand Brace had four hits each as the Chaps polished off their opponent in the sixth innings. They sent 15 batters to the plate, scoring 11 runs on five hits and benefiting from three errors.

- Warren, Dasenbrock, Zaccaro, and Carlee Baker had two multi-hit games
- Zaccaro had a triple to go with her home run against Prairie State. She doubled against Joliet.
