Freshmen Lillian Buzani and Belle Adduci earned top-25 efforts Friday afternoon during the Chaps' competition at the Midwest Intercollegiate Race, held by Olivet Nazarene in Bourbonnais.
 
Buzani place 23^rd and ran 20 minutes, 13.50 seconds on the 5,000-meter Aspen Ridge Golf Course. Adduci was 24^th in 20:21.30.
 
Morgan Clifford broke through the top 50, finishing 49^th in 21:20.20.
 
Overall, the Chaps finished ninth with 198 points.
 
Coach Michelle Stratton says
"We had a successful day. It was impressive to see our patience working through a larger number of competitors. We had four with PRs (Buzani, Adduci, Clifford and Emilia Kadiyala). A strong performance from everyone.
 
What's Next?
The Chaps are off next and compete at the Heartland Community College Classic in Normal on Oct. 1.
