Box Score Sophomore Night belonged to the Chaparrals on Friday night, as they defeated visiting Moraine Valley 5-0 in Region IV women's soccer.
 
The Chaps, now 4-3-4 overall, finish the regular season Tuesday afternoon when they take on Illinois Valley at Bjarne Ullsvik Stadium.
 
Alyssa Arce scored the Chaps' opening goal, hitting from 20 yards out in the 11^th minute. The game remained 1-0 at halftime COD finishing off the Cyclones.
 
Anna Odisho scored her 13^th goal of the year, scoring in the 57^th minute, and Hallie Meachum connected on a corner kick in the 63^rd minute.
 
Eveleen Guemez then connected on two consecutive goals and the Cyclones gave the Chaps their fifth tally with an own goal in the 87^th minute.
 
The Chaps honored their eight sophomores — Estefanny Bautista, Summer Garcia, Jacki Casas, Morgan Clifford, Eveleen Guemez. Joana Velazquez, Ellie Cervantes, Jaz Barriga — in a prematch ceremony.
