The COD air patrol was in fine force for the second-ranked Chaparrals on Friday night, scoring on six touchdown passes in a 63-12 victory over visiting Liberty Prep at Bjarne Ullsvik Stadium.
 
Starting quarterback Gavin Sukup threw for two touchdowns and ran for one, backup QB Peyton O'Laughlin threw for three TDs and fellow backup Robert Brazziel threw for one and ran for another on the nine-touchdown night.
 
COD improved to 8-1 overall and completes the regular season next Saturday at Division 1 Georgia Military College.

"We were able to get the ball to a lot of different people tonight,'' head coach Matthew Rahn said.
 
The Chaps took control from the outset, scoring on their first possession of the night, capped by Sukup's one-yard TD with 10:12 left in the quarter.
 
On the ensuing kickoff, the Chaps forced a fumble, and on their first play, padded the lead to 14-0 on a one-play, 36-yard strike from Sukup to Marquel Porter.
 
The Chaps then added another TD in the quarter, a 28-yard pass from Sukup to Matthew Brown.
 
Porter later gained his second TD reception of the night, on a 3-yard pass from O'Laughlin with 34 seconds in the third quarter.
 
The Chaps completed their home schedule a perfect 5-0 on the season.
