The Chaps were dealt a 5-4 loss at McHenry County College in Region IV men's tennis Tuesday afternoon.
Â
COD, now 2-3 overall, takes on Sauk Valley on Friday at the COD courts. First serve is 3:45 p.m.
Double winners on the afternoon were:
Mark Lobdell, who won at No. 2 singles and at No. 1 doubles with
Jake Anderson.
Mitch Ludewig was victorious at No. 3 singles and No. 2 doubles.
Â
Coach Jim Bowers says
"Every match was competitive and half of them went to tiebreakers or OT. Some went our way, and others did not. It's good to see the athleticism and strong effort that our players have been giving. Our doubles' teams are playing with intelligence by moving to the right spot on the court at the right time and making the appropriate shot. Andrew and Anuj hadn't played together in doubles and they fell just short with a top-notch effort.''
