Box Score Anna Odisho made the most of her Chaparral debut Wednesday night, scoring three goals and teammate Estefanny Ruiz added two of her own in COD's 6-0 win over visiting Joliet Junior College in Region 4 soccer.
 
Odisho scored twice in the first half, capping the opening 45 minutes with a nifty goal from 25 yards out and COD led 3-0.
 
Eveleen Guemez, Ruiz and Odisho tallied goals in the second half.
 
"Great effort tonight and happy with the ability to come together,'' head coach Zac Ludwig said. "It wasn't just our scoring. We were consistent on both ends of the field, played pretty good defense to help keep them from scoring. We had pressure up front and it paid off.''
 
Jaz Barriga played the entire game at goalkeeper and earned her first shutout.
 
The Chaps are at Elgin on Saturday. Kickoff is noon.
