Brandon Vines, who had two interceptions including a 29-yard pick six and had two pass breakups, is this NJCAA Defensive Player of the Week.

Vines, a Batavia native, also had two solo tackles in the two-time defending NJCAA champion's 56-2 victory over Erie Community College on Sept. 30.

The Chaps (5-1 overall) are at Community Christian of Detroit on Saturday. Kickoff is 1 p.m. Eastern time and is scheduled to be played at Renaissance High School, located at 6565 Outer Dr W, Detroit.

COD remains on top of the Division III polls for the sixth straight week. The Chaps grabbed 20 points and all four first-place votes. North Dakota State College of Science is second, followed by Minnesota State CTC, Rochester CTC and Louisburg. The Chaps own victories of N.D. Science and Rochester.
