Quarterback Robert Brazziel scored two touchdowns and Christian Casillas added a 34-yard field goal as No. 1 College of DuPage earned a 17-6 victory over Christian Community of Detroit on Saturday afternoon.
 
The Chaps improved to 6-1 overall entering this Sunday afternoon's home game against the Aurora University Junior Varsity. Kickoff at MacDougall Field is 3 p.m.
 
Brazziel rushed for 37 yards on nine carries, and All-American tailback Jaden McGill led the Chaps on the ground, rushing for 83 yards on nine carries.
 
Starting QB Peyton O'Laughlin threw for 125 yards on 9 of 19 passing and one interception. Brazziel was 3 of 7 for 25 yards.
 
Wide receiver Fabian Baez led COD with 45 yards on three receptions. Demetrius Kellie had two receptions for 32 yards and Deszmund White caught one pass for 31 yards.
 
Defensive back Riley Dravet continued his fine season Saturday with four pass breakups, two tackles, one forced fumble (as the ball carrier was about to score), two fumble recoveries with a 30-yard return that set up COD at the CCC 5.
 
He did not allow a single reception on his side for the entire game.
