Ethan Kim won at No. 1 singles and teamed up with Clayton Barma at No. 1 doubles for a victory in COD's 7-2 loss at Moraine Valley in Region 4 men's tennis Tuesday afternoon.
 
The Chaps play host to McHenry County today with first serve at 3:45.

"Ethan's improving and maturing, and finding his style of play. He is very fast, but in a controlled way, and has been creative with his shot selection. Sometimes out of nowhere, he will hit some wonderful drop shots or lob volleys that most student athletes at his young age have the skill to do. He also has fine-tuned his ground strokes and can generate power that will match up with anyone. And at doubles, he and Clayton are a solid team. They can mix it up by controlling the net, and can adjust and play the backcourt and can turn the defensive side of the court into offense with their power and sneaky lobs. Our other guys are figuring out ways to win games and have been showing great effort; their hard work is paying off.  Our bottom of the lineup isn't as experienced as their teammates, but their practice habits are showing that they are learning fast and they're becoming aware of what they need at improving in our next couple of matches.''
