No. 9 College of DuPage returned to Region 4 play Tuesday and answered with a 309 win over Oakton in women's volleyball.
 
The Chaps improved to 13-10 overall heading into Thursday night's home match against Harper. First serve is 6 p.m.
 
COD had double-digit kills in each of the final two sets in its 25-15, 25-12, 25-23 victory over the Owls. Melissa Alvarez led with 14 kills and two aces. Grace Beacom (nine) and Amanda Leibrock (seven) followed with kills.
 
The Chaps hit .220 on the attack (36 kills, 14 errors, 100 attacks).
 
Setter Ashley Bylsma dealt 20 assists and Jaime Volz added 11.
 
Sophomore defensive specialist Cyd Martinez, who leads the nation in both service aces and digs, had two aces and Abigail Alonzo led with three.
 
Leibrock and Makayla Robinson each had two block assists.
