The College of DuPage women's volleyball program has been recognized for its excellence in the classroom, earning the 2026 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award.

The award recognizes volleyball programs that maintained a year-long team grade-point average of at least 3.30 on a 4.0 scale during the 2025-26 academic year. A total of 1,432 collegiate and high school programs received the honor. Among those recipients were just 40 NJCAA member institutions.

"Knowing how hard our players work, both on the court and in the classroom, to achieve at the highest of levels, it is gratifying to see them honored with the AVCA Team Academic Award," said head coach Tolis Koskinaris.

The recognition reflects the Chaparrals' commitment to success beyond competition, highlighting the dedication of the student-athletes to balancing the demands of collegiate athletics with academic achievement.

The AVCA Team Academic Award has recognized volleyball programs for outstanding classroom performance since 1993, celebrating teams that demonstrate a sustained commitment to academic excellence while competing at a high level.
