Late rally costs Chaparrals

Lucille Sugarman's first-half goal gave the Chaparrals an advantage, but visiting Waubonsee answered back with two late second-half goals and dealt COD a 2-1 loss in Region 4 women's soccer Wednesday night.
 
The Chaps (4-6, 4-5 Region 4) continues play Saturday afternoon at Milwaukee Area TC (5-2-1, 5-2-1). Kickoff is 1 p.m.
 
Waubonsee's Amara Olivas scored both goals for the Chiefs, the first in the 69th minute, and then the game-winner on a penalty kick in the 85th minute.
 
Sugarman leads the Chaps in goals (five), assists (three), points (13), shots (38) and shots on goal (25).

Elizabeth Kelsey earned the assist on Sugarman's goal.
 
The loss snapped COD's two-game winning streak.
