The Chaparrals racked up 13 individual and one relay NJCAA outdoor qualifiers in their final indoor meet of the season Friday in Kenosha, Wis.

Weston White won the 200 in a qualifying time of 22.56, followed by qualifying efforts from All-American Noah Mack (22.82), and Elijah Phipps (23.32).

Freshman Chris Ruchaj finished fourth in the 400 in a qualifying time of 52.22 seconds, followed by teammate Alexander Mendez' qualifying effort of 52.46 seconds.

The 4 x 400 relay team of Graham McAninch, Ruchaj, Mendez and Mack ran 3:28.74, meeting the qualifyiing time by nearly 10 seconds.

In the field events, high jumper Ronan Cornelius cleared a qualifying height of 1.92 m (6-3 1/2) and pole vaulter Brayden Farmer cleared 3.18 m (12-6).

The Chaps qualified three in the long jump — Anthony Urban (6.43 m / 21-1 1/4), Dayrion Beard (6.24 m / 20-5 3/4) and Cornelius (6.16 m / 20-2 1/2).

Beard also met the standard in the triple jump at 12.68 m (41-7 1/4).

Shot putters Sterling Sawicki (11.94 m / 39-2 1/4) and Jonathan Sears (11.67 m / 38-3 1/2) also earned a place in May's NJCAA outdoor championship in Utica, N.Y.

COD is off until its outdoor opener April 5 at Elmhurst.
