The College of DuPage women's tennis team traveled to College of Lake County on Oct. 1 and fell 5-4 against a strong Lancers squad. 

The No. 2 doubles team of Kathy Johns and Lexi Olofsson earned an 8-3 win for the Chaps. Johns also won at No. 4 singles, 6-1, 6-2. Olofsson battled at No. 5 singles, taking the second set and forcing a super tiebreaker before falling 10-7. 

"All of our student-athletes played their best and left it all on the court," head coach Jim Bowers said. "We will move on and look forward to our next match and play hard again."

The Chaps return to action Oct. 2 at home in Glen Ellyn against Elgin Community College.
