Women's Soccer take down Madison College

The College of DuPage women's soccer earned a 2-1 home victory over Madison College at Bjarne Ullsvik Stadium on Oct. 19.

DuPage, now 9-2-2 on the season, trailed early after a Wolf Pack goal in the opening minutes. Carolina Carreon netted the unassisted equalizer just 10 minutes later to even the match at 1-1, her 10th goal of the season.

After nearly 60 minutes of scoreless play, Carreon set up Katie Castillo for the go-ahead goal with under 10 minutes remaining. The opportunistic Chaps converted both of their shots on goal in the match.

Goalkeeper Brooke Cutlip registered six saves to keep Madison off the board for most the afternoon.

DuPage returns to Bjarne Ullsvik Stadium on Oct. 22 to face Triton College. Sophomore Chaps will be recognized prior to the 6:30 p.m. kickoff.
