The Chaparrals completed the regular-season indoor portion of their season Friday at North Central's Slick Invitational.
 
All-American Carmen Solis, who will be competing in the 5,000 m at the NJCAA indoor championship next month in Lubbock, Texas, narrowly missed on earning her way into the 3,000 race. She ran 10 minutes, 46.72 seconds — six seconds off the qualifying standard — and placed second.
 
Earning outdoor qualifying standards were: 200 — Molly Morris (27.97), 400 — Ellie Logsdon (61.53) Klaudia Sztafa (68.50), Olivia Brach (69.04), pole vault — Ella Kud 2.31 m (7 feet, 7 inches), and the 4 x 400 relay team comprised of Carmen Solis, Allison Browne, Olivia Brach, and Morris, who ran 4:31.03.
 
The outdoor season is scheduled to begin March 28 in St. Louis at Washington University.
