The College of DuPage women's track & field team competed in the North Central College Chicagoland Invite on Feb. 13, facing a mix of two-year and four-year programs. Head coach Mallory Dominguez praised the level of competition, saying, "It's a blessing because they just go out there and do their best and a lot of them are among the top in the Chicagoland area and in NJCAA. Many will be able to continue on to four-year levels and succeed really well there. So I think it's just great that we get to do that."

Freshman Kailee Rodeck continued her standout season, breaking her own indoor pole vault record for the second time this season with a jump of 3.63 meters. Dominguez noted, "I'm just excited to see how high she's going to continue to go as the season progresses. She's ranked number three across all NJCAA divisions right now, so I'm really excited to see what she's going to do to wrap up her indoor season and into outdoor season as well."

Allison Brown made a strong debut in the high jump, clearing 1.43 meters, a qualifying mark for the NJCAA Outdoor National Championships. Adriana Villanova also qualified for Outdoor Nationals with a long jump of 4.66 meters.

Klaudia Sztafa recorded two season bests, running 8.24 in the 60 meters and 27.78 in the 200 meters, earning a bid to Indoor Nationals. Brianne Davis placed seventh in the weight throw with a mark of 14.41 meters.

Dominguez reflected on the team's progress: "There are a lot of really exciting things. Overall, the girls are getting more and more in shape every week and we're getting more qualifying performances. We're really excited that things are starting to come together, and we have one meet left, hoping to hit a couple more PRs and qualification performances before we wrap up the indoor season."

The Chaps return to Naperville on Feb. 20 for the North Central College Slick Invite.
