All-American pole vaulter William Kallas continues to improve upon his sterling freshman season, clearing a career-best 4.85 meters (15 feet, 11 inches) as he won the St. Louis University meet to highlight COD's opening outdoor weekend.

The Riverside native, who placed seventh at the NJCAA indoor meet, established his best by 8 ¾ inches.

All-American sprinter Weston White earned two NJCAA D3 qualifying times in the 100, 200 and a leg on a 4 x 100 relay that ran 41.83 seconds.

Sophomore Elijah Phipps met the standard in each of those three sprint events as well.

Weight specialist Sterling Sawicki earned standards in both the shot put and hammer throw as the Chaps met qualifying standards 28 times including the relay team as COD competed both in St. Louis and at North Central.
