Sophomore All-American Ellie Logsdon built her 400 hurdles resume to another level Thursday night at Wheaton College's Don Church Twilight, establishing a school record in her event by more than a second.
 
Logsdon won the 400 hurdles in 1 minute, 1.71 seconds, breaking the record of 1:02.72 set by Elizabeth Hanses in 2002.
 
Her effort further established herself as the top sprinter in the NJCAA Division. She owns the best times in the 100 meters, 200, 400, 400 hurdles and on the 4 x 100 relay with teammates Molly Morris, Klaudia Sztafa and Victoria Tarpeh.
 
Her 400 hurdles time would rank fourth in the scholarship NJCAA D1.
 
Former basketball star Makenna Brown ran a personal best 1:01.96 in the 400 and freshman Allison Pasdiora won the 10,000 meters in a D3 best 48:23.54.
 
COD is off until April 25 when the Chaparrals are at Elmhurst for their final regular-season meet. The NJCAA championship is May 8-10 in Utica, N.Y.
