John Tarpeh threw a season-best in the discus and hurdler Karam Tajeddin and All-American pole vaulter Wiliam Kallas continued outstanding springs as four-time defeding NJCAA champion College of DuPage concluded its regular season Friday at the Elmhurst Twilight.
 
Tarpeh threw the discus 129 feet, 9 inches and ranks second among all throwers heading into the NJCAA national championship May 8-10 in Utica, N.Y.
 
Tajeddin lowered his personal best in the 400 hurdles to 59.40 and Kallas remained unbeaten in D3 ranks this season, clearing the bar at 15-3 3/4.
 
Sprinter Landon Zimny impressed, breaking 51 seconds in the 400 at 50.91 seconds. He joined teammates Weston White (50.95), Owen Fitzgeral (51.03), Elijah Phipps (51.50) and Chris Ruchaj (51.85) for the Chaps who broke 52 seconds in the event. That bids well for COD's potential efforts in the 4 x 400 relay at NJCAAs.

Zimny also ran the anchor leg on the 4 x 100 relay that earned a time of 41.83. His team included: Tim McMiller, Weston White, and Elijah Phipps.
 
Jack Schultz ran 4:11.29 in the 1500 and COD 3000-meter steeplechasers John Buchanan (10:28.95), Zachary Kahsen (10:57.57) and Thomas Payne (11:03.90) all broke through the top 16 nationally in the event.
