College of DuPage completed its first East Coast swing with a pair of victories on April 1 and 2 against Mercer Community College and Hudson Valley in games played at West Windsor Township, N.J.

COD improved to 2-2 overall and next play April 15 at Herkimer (N.Y.).

Chaparrals 10, Mercer Community 8
Tanner Polep scored three goals and Isaiah Garcia, Bennett Jones and Brady Menne each scored two for the Chaparrals.

Michael Saccomanno added the other goal for COD.

Menne led in assists with three, and Polep and Jones each had two. MJ Keblusek had the other assist.

COD totaled 29 ground balls and went 20-of-35 on faceoffs.

Goalie Michael Olas faced 11 shots and earned three saves in 60 minutes of play.

Chaparrals 24, Hudson Valley 3
Michael Saccomanno and Bennett Jones led the way on offense with four goals each. Eli Boyd scored three times, and Tanner Polep, Henry McEachen, and Gage Wimmer each scored twice.

Scoring the remaining goals were Brady Menne, Cole Copersmet, Isaiah Garcia, Aslan Fenelon, Joe Maduzia and Nathan Olson.

Menne led in assists with four, followed by Jones, Polep and MJ Keblusek with two. McEachen, Boyd, Iyden Khan, Joe Maduzia and Daniel Garcia each had one assist.
