The Chaparrals head into this week's North Atlantic District in New Jersey with a heady regular season in April after completing its trip to upstate New York.
COD (2-4 overall) took on NJCAA kingpins Herkimer, Onondaga and Genesee and look to use that experience when it opens postseason play Saturday at 11 a.m. Eastern in West Windsor Township, N.J., and home to Mercer Community College.
The Chaps will face either Mercer or Delaware Tech, who play Wednesday.
Saturday's winner will move on to the title game Sunday at 11 a.m. Eastern.
Herkimer 14, Chaparrals 9
The Chaps and Generals played an even second half with each scoring eight goals in the final half, but Herkimer took advantage of its 6-1 halftime lead for the win on April 15.
Scoring for COD were:

Isaiah Garcia (two),
Brady Menne (two) and
MJ Keblusek.
Michael Olas had 12 saves for the game.
Onondaga 17, Chaparrals 7
Nationally ranked Onondaga proved to be a difficult opponent for the Chaps on April 17.
Tanner Polep and
Brady Menne each scored twice for the Chaps. Picking up goals were
MJ Keblusek,
Isaiah Garcia and
Henry McEachen.
Michael Olas had 19 saves for the game.
Genessee 15, Chaparrals 8
Michael Saccomanno gave COD the early 1-0 lead in the first, but Genesee answered with five of its own in the first and never trailed again in a game played April 19 in Batavia, N.Y.
Saccomanno added another goal in the second, and
Isaiah Garcia scored twice in the second as COD trailed 7-4 at halftime.
Earning goals from second-half play were:
Brady Menne,
Tanner Polep (twice) and Garcia, who scored in the fourth.
Michael Olas had 20 saves in 60 minutes.
