The No. 5 ranked Chaparral lacrosse team took its talents to Baltimore, Maryland on March 31 to take on CCBC Essex. What started as a back-and-forth contest quickly turned into a tight four-quarter battle. The Chaps tied the game at 7-7 with just under 13 minutes remaining, but the Knights pulled away by scoring four consecutive goals over a 10-minute span to defeat DuPage 11-8.
MJ Keblusek led the Chaparrals in scoring with three goals. Tanner Polep added two goals for DuPage, while Brady Menne, Gage Wimmer, and Bennett Jones each recorded a goal in the contest. Asher Dilts facilitated the offense with three assists.
Goalkeeper Nathan Peake turned in a strong performance, tallying 21 saves on 32 shots from the Knights.
DuPage will host Anne Arundel Community College on April 18 for its final regular season game.
