The College of DuPage men's lacrosse team closed out its 2026 season with a 6-4 record, doubling its win total from a year ago and posting the best winning percentage in the program's short history.
DuPage capped the regular season with a 22-10 victory over Anne Arundel on April 18 at Bjarne Ullsvik Stadium. The Chaparrals fell behind 2-0 before erupting for six unanswered goals to take control of the contest.
Mello Brown,
Tanner Polep,
Bennett Jones and
Tyler Brown each scored during the run, while Brown and Jones each added second goals.
Anne Arundel answered to make it 6-3, but the Chaps responded with three more consecutive goals. Polep netted two during the stretch, followed by a goal from
MJ Keblusek.
DuPage cruised to the win behind additional scoring from
Daniel Dace, Jones, Vincent Garcia Hocket, Polep and Keblusek. Jones finished with five goals, while Keblusek also recorded a five-goal performance. Goalkeeper
Nathan Peake totaled eight saves on 17 shots.
The Chaparrals opened postseason play on April 24 with a 23-11 win over Delaware Technical Community College in the first round of the North Atlantic District Tournament at Mercer County Community College.
DuPage's season came to an end April 25 in the North Atlantic District Championship game with a 20-6 loss to Nassau Community College. Polep led the Chaparrals with three goals, while Keblusek, Brown and Wimmer each added a score. Peake recorded 18 saves on 38 shots.
