The College of DuPage women's soccer team earned a 1-0 victory over Triton College on Wednesday, Sept. 16, improving to 4-2-1 on the season.

The lone goal came in the 56th minute when Samantha Santiago's pass toward the Triton goal caromed off a Trojan defender and into the net for an own goal, giving the Chaps the lead.

DuPage applied consistent pressure throughout the contest, recording eight shots on goal. Elina Velasco, Aneya Villarreal and Sophia Enriquez each recorded two shots on goal.

Brooke Cutlip anchored the Chaps defensively, playing in goal and recording three saves on five shots faced to preserve the shutout.

DuPage will travel to Palatine on Friday, Sept. 18 to take on Harper College. The Chaps are 5-0-2 against the Hawks since 2018.
