The College of DuPage women's soccer team continued its strong start to the season with an 8-1 victory over Harper College on Thursday in Palatine.

The Chaps improved to 5-2-1 on the season while producing 45 shots, including 24 on goal.

Sophia Enriquez led the offensive attack with three goals and one assist on nine shots, seven of which were on goal.

Julia Gonzalez added two goals, while Katie Castillo, Mariana Reyes Sanchez and Carolina Carreon each scored once. Carreon also added an assist on nine total shots, including three on goal.

Nadia Mandujano and Fernanda Gallegos each recorded an assist.

Haydee Manriquez played in goal and faced five shots, making one save.

DuPage returns home Sept. 23 to host Kankakee Community College. The Chaps have won three straight meetings with the Cavaliers.
