Freshman Matt McColaugh fired his best round of the fall, shooting a 79 and tied for eight place as the Chaps completed their fall portion of the 2020-21 season at the Prairieview Preview on Friday.
 
McColaugh's 79 marked the first time a Chap broke 80 after competing on the par-72, 6,999-yard Prairieview course in Byron and hosted by Sauk Valley CC.
 
"While we completed our fall season, we look forward on getting better and preparing for our spring season,'' Chaps head coach Jason Hyatt said. "We're on the right path. Each one has room in their game for improvement. We'll get there with a little more dedication and work.''
 
The Chaps finished 10^th with a 353 total.
 
Gabe Brock tied for 41^st (90), Elias Finazzo T27 (85), Zach Mayo T61 (99), and John Thompson 67th (109).
