The College of DuPage men's golf team faced Rock Valley College in the Duel at PrairieView on Oct. 8, competing in a unique team-based format. 

The Chaps paired teammates together to play two formats across 18 holes, a scramble on the front nine and best ball on the back nine. Scores were tallied both individually and by team totals. 

Rock Valley earned the team win with a score of 213 (-3), while DuPage finished with a 225 (+8). The pair of Matt Sims and Kyrin Abella led the Chaps, shooting a 72 to tie for third place out of 6 pairs. Patrick Davis and Jack Boehmke finished fifth with a 76, and Patrick Malm and Ben Holcombe placed sixth with a 77. 

 "We had a great day to play," head coach Jason Hyatt said. "We'll continue to take advantage of the nice weather but also start gearing up for the spring season. This is a fun group, and I can't wait to continue to grind."
