Freshman Aubreye Hyatt competed as the only community college player in the Augustana Viking Classic played April 26-27.
 
Hyatt played the par-72, 5,750-yard Highland Springs Municipal with rounds of 96 and 94, her best scores of the season.
 
Lake Forest's Gabrielle Krebs won the event with 4-over, 148 total.
 
Hyatt now prepares for Friday's Rock Valley event, played at Aldeen GC in Rockford. Tee off is 10 a.m.
 
"Aubreye held her own through all 36 holes,'' head coach Jason Hyatt said. "The more experience she gains, the lower her scores will go.  She stayed within herself and as her short game takes shape, she will be a force as we get into the postseason.''
