Track and field head coach
Mallory Dominguez directed the men's team to a fifth straight NJCAA Division III title and the women to their first championship in three seasons earlier this month.
Those championships explain why the United States Track and Field Cross Country Coaches of American (USTFCCCA) named the second-year Chaps' head coach its NJCAA coach of the year for both programs.
COD's men won the title by scoring points in 21 of the 22 events and totaled 195 points for the title, the ninth in program history.
Three-time national champion
Weston White (100, 200, 4 x 100 relay) led the way to the title, along with hammer thrower
Sterling Sawicki and pole vaulter
William Kallas, who each won national titles.
The women were equally dominant in earning the title for the first time since 2022 with 174 points.
Twelve Chaps earned a total of 22 All-American honors with sophomoreÂ
Ellie Logsdon earning outstanding female honors after winning the 100, 400, 400 hurdles, 4 x 100 relay and 4 x 400 relay.
Logsdon was joined with fellow national champions
Carmen Solis (800 and 5000) and hammer thrower
Teegan Roach. COD also won the 4 x 800 relay.
It marks the second straight honor for Dominguez, who with assistant coach
Floyd Turner were male co-coaches of the year in 2024.
