The College of DuPage men's basketball team hosted the Talons of Black Hawk Technical College on Jan. 31, needing every second to secure an 89–88 victory at home in Glen Ellyn. The win pushes the Chaps' record to 14–8 on the season.
DuPage carried a slim two-point advantage into halftime and was able to withstand a late push from the Talons down the stretch to preserve the one-point win.
Efficient guard play fueled the Chaps' offensive output, as Amari Ford and Adyn McGinley combined for 46 of DuPage's 89 points. Ford led all scorers with 26 points, shooting 8-of-11 from the field and knocking down 3-of-5 attempts from beyond the arc. McGinley followed with 20 points on an impressive 10-of-12 shooting night.
Logan Glover added 13 points, while Ethan Howard chipped in 12 to round out the top scorers for DuPage. Vuk Zogovich led the Chaps on the glass with six rebounds. Howard dished out a team-high four assists, and Ford paced DuPage defensively with two steals.
The Chaps will look to carry their momentum into Region IV play when they travel to Milwaukee Area Technical College to face the Stormers. The two teams last met in 2025, with MATC earning a 95–88 victory. DuPage's most recent win over the Stormers came during the 2024 season.
