The Chaps were dealt a 14-6 loss in six innings to Joliet and a 16-6 loss to Madison. Â In the nightcap, Elgin Community handed the Chaps a 12-8 nonconference loss.

On Saturday, the Chaps face Harper College, Rock Valley College and Triton. All three games are conference tilts.

Kate Koska ripped a two-run double, but it wasn't enough as the Wolves closed the game in six innings.

The Chaps came through with a five-run third inning but couldn't capitalize on the offensive output.

The Chaps scored four runs with two outs in the third, but the WolfPack dominated and closed out the game in six innings.

COD took an early 6-2 lead through two innings, but Elgin answered with a five-run fourth and took control over the final two innings.

Negron's run-scoring double brought in Eiermann in the fourth.

Koska had a triple in the second and had two hits to join Eiermann, who had three singles. Briggs singled twice.
