Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 The Chaparrals found their groove Tuesday afternoon, earning the first sweep of the season with a 9-2 victory over Lackawanna (Pa.) and 7-1 over Henry Ford Community College in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
 
The Chaps (5-4 overall) never trailed in their 14 innings and now have won four of their last five games and take Wednesday off. They will resume play Thursday against St. Clair Community College in a doubleheader that begins at 3 EST.
 
Chaps 9, Lackawanna 2
Mike Wagner stood out at the plate and in the field with a home run and sound defensive play at his right-field position. Elijah Rochon took a no-hitter into the sixth innings, while T.J. Jaros had two hits and Peter Sedlacek had a bases-clearning triple.
 
Chaps 7, Henry Ford 1
Tommy Louch nearly matched Rochon's opener, going 5 2/3 innings with just one run allowed. Wagner was flawless in relief. Brent McDowell had three RBI along with a triple, and Bobby O'Donnell also tripled. Kyle Ferguson also had hits.
