The visiting Scots took advantage early, thanks to a solo home run by Dylan Honkola and three base on balls for a two-run, one-hit first.

The Chaps out-hit the Scots (5-4), but did not score until
Dan Opem's RBI-single that scored
Anthony Fumagalli (single) in the sixth.

Both Opem and
Corey Vondra doubled for the Chaps.

Game 2: McHenry 8, Chaps 2 5 innings
Trailing 3-0, Fumagalli delivered a sacrifice fly to right to score
Steven Salvino, who led off the third with a single to right. Vondra doubled in the fifth to right center and scored when Opem reached base on an error to short.

Vondra went 2-for-3 in a game that was called in the sixth when lighting was present in Glen Ellyn.

GAME NOTE: The Chaparrals' overall record has now changed, due to Elgin's forfeit in the teams' doubleheader March 27.
