The Chaparrals ended their season Tuesday night in the NJCAA Region IV Division III quarterfinals.
 
Freshman Jaylyn Grant led the Chaps with 23 points in their 80-46 loss at Elgin. Jessica Schoder and Lauren Day each had eight.
 
Jordan Buchelt had six and Alyssa Pham as the Chaps finished their season 6-24 overall.
 
Elgin now advances to play Rock Valley in the regional semifinals Saturday at College of DuPage.
