Chaps return to action vs. Rock Valley

Box Score The Chaparrals played for the first time in more than a month Tuesday night and were dealt an 81-48 loss to Rock Valley College in Region 4 and N4C women's play at PEC Arena.
 
COD had its last seven games canceled due to COVID protocols as its record is now 2-7 overall heading into Thursday night's game at Joliet.
 
Makenna Brown scored a team-high 16 points — eight in each half — and Marquita Gardner added 15, scoring eight of COD's 10 points in the third quarter. Mykah Berkompas scored nine points, all on 3-pointers in the first half. Korriana Wilson had eight on two 3-pointers.
 
COD trailed 14-7 after the first period, and fired off a 19-point second quarter and trailed 40-26 at the break.
 
Camron Blank led the Golden Eagles (5-9 overall) with a game-high 27 points.
