COD, now 24-14 overall, now prepares for this week's NJCAA Region 4 playoffs. The tournament brackets are expected to be announced Monday.

Game 1: Chaps 11, Sauk Valley 4
COD trailed 4-2 before responding in the sixth with nine runs on five hits for the win. A
Joe Cosenza RBI-single got the inning going with one out, and one batter later,
Jason Cousineau and
Cam Bailey scored on an error at second for a 5-4 COD lead. Two batters later,
A.J. Taylor connected on a run-scoring single.
Jeremy Conforti later reached base on a bases-loaded hit by pitch. Two batters later, Pomatto added an RBI-single and COD led 8-4. Another bases loaded hit by pitch, this time to
Cliff Vickers increased COD's lead, 9-4. And for good measure, Bailey added a two-run single and COD led 11-4. Both Bailey and Cosenza had two hits (each had a double), and
Zion Baker had three RBI.
Kai Formella got the victory in one inning of relief.

Game 2: Sauk Valley 6, Chaps 4
Conforti delivered a two-run single in the first, and
Jimmy Heintz had an RBI-double in the fourth. Cosenza delivered an RBI-single in the sixth. Sauk Valley took control with a four-run, four-hit fourth.
