Autumn Rohde each scored 10 as the Chaps grabbed an 18-7 lead through the first quarter and never trailed. They outscored the Bulldogs 31-6 in the second half.

Madeline Maracich each grabbed nine rebounds for COD, which totaled 51 boards.

Teegan Roach scored 12 points with 14 rebounds, and
Sierra Gibson added 11 points, but it wasn't enough as host Waubonsee hung on for a 55-54 Region 4 victory Saturday afternoon.

The Chaps, who fell to 1-1 overall, play at Sauk Valley on Tuesday, before returning home Thursday against Moraine Valley.

The Chiefs built a 29-19 lead at halftime before COD outplayed their opponent in the second half. The Chaparrals rallied, outscoring WCC 35-26 in the final half.
