Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Region 4 champion College of DuPage dropped its two games in this past weekend's Great Lakes District Tournament, losing to Delta (Mich.) 8-6 and Caldwell (N.C.) 5-1 and had its season come to an end.
 
The Chaps, under first-year head coach Barry Froehle, ended the season 27-11 overall and 7-1 in the N4C.
 
Joliet JC won the district title, defeating Delta twice on Saturday.
 
Delta (Mich.) 8, Chaparrals 6

• COD scored five runs on four hits in the first inning
• Paige Jahaske's run-scoring single brought in Kelsey Warren, who led off the game with a walk
• Raquel Procopio keyed the inning with a three-run homer, scoring Paige Jahaske (walk) and Lindsey Onnezi (single)
• Amber Dasenbrock tripled in the first and scored on a wild pitch
• Procopio and Carlee Baker had back-to-back doubles in the fifth, but the Chaps were held scoreless in the inning
• Delta took the lead for a good with a three-run fourth and led 7-5

 
Caldwell (N.C.) 5, Chaps 1

• Amber Dasenbrock drove in the Chaps' only run, a two-out double that scored Baker (fielder's choice) in the fourth
• Dasenbrock led at the plate, going 3-for-3
• Lindsey Onnezi and Grace Walker each had two hits
