Region 4 Player of the Week Sierra Gibson led COD with 20 points, five steals and four assists and freshman Megan Martinez added 14 with four 3-pointers, but visiting Bryant & Stratton earned an early lead and defeated the Chaparrals 92-68 in Region 4 women's basketball Thursday night.
 
COD fell to 6-15, 6-12 Region 4 and is off until Tuesday night when it takes on Kankakee at PEC Arena. Tipoff is 5 p.m.
 
The Bobcats took control in the first half and led by double digits for good, beginning midway through the second quarter and led at halftime, 44-31.
 
The Chaps played an inspired third quarter, outscoring B&S 24-21.
 
Sarah Topps broke through in double figures with 11.
 
COD shot 31 percent from the field (26 of 85) and totaled six treys.
 
Sophomore Delmarea Willis dealt four assists and Gibson also had two blocks.
