Beginning to end out front, 77-45

The Chaparrals dominated the scoring column Tuesday night with 13 players in their 77-45 victory over visiting Richard Daley in NJCAA Region 4 women's basketball at PEC Arena.
 
COD, now 2-1, 2-0 Region 4, is at Black Hawk College on Thursday and at Waubonsee on Saturday.
 
The Chaps never trailed against the Bulldogs and built their first double-digit lead (17-7) from Cailey Salerno with 30 seconds left in the first quarter.
 
COD led 40-21 at the break and 57-34 through three periods.
 
Leading the way was Autumn Rohde with 13 points that included a 3-pointer in the second quarter. Makenna Brown was the only other Chap in double figures with 10, eight in the first half.
 
Nala Taylor was next with seven points and five Chaps, Jaylen Zachary, Kaisje Pryor, Aubrey Weems, Megan Martinez and Madison Dubiel, all scored six.
 
Adrianna Villanova added five, Vicky Teper and Salerno four and Teegan Roach and Kylie Blevins, each with two.
 
The Chaps dominated on the glass, owning a 58-20 advantage. Roach led with 10 and Villanova followed with nine.
 
Dubiel led in assists off the bench with seven.
