College of DuPage led from the outset and earned a 68-46 victory over visiting Waubonsee in Region 4 women's basketball Thursday night.
 
Sophomore guard Nala Taylor led the Chaps with 16 points including a team-high three 3-pointers in a game that COD led by as many as 23 in the final minute.
 
COD jumped out to an 18-4 lead through one quarter, thanks to a 7-0 spurt in the final 1:50 of play. A double-digit lead belonged to the Chaps for the remainder of the game.
 
Madison Dubiel came off the bench with nine points on a pair of 3s. Makenna Brown, Madeline Maracich and Kaisje Pryor each scored eight, and Megan Martinez added seven.
 
COD dominated off the glass, outrebounding the Chiefs 52-31. Earning double figures in boards were Teegan Roach (14), Jaylen Zachary (11) and Brown (10).
 
The Chaps improved to 5-6 overall and 5-4 in Region 4. They play at Richard Daley (3-8, 1-2) on Saturday.
